My first try to create a gensplash theme.
Inspired by spookykid's Arch Bootsplash v0.1 ([link]).

Made for widescreens... especially for those who have 1024x768 framebuffer since their BIOS doesn't support the needed mode (e.g. 1280x800, 1440x900, ...).
This theme looks quite weird on a normal 4:3 display. You've been warned.

I'd give up framebuffer if I were you, it makes the console a lot slower :P

Well, I can't stand those bug letters... And I've got computer fast enough to not see the difference at 1024x768 ;)

The difference is huge if you run something that outputs a lot of stuff really fast. Like a package building or so :)
Try Terminus font, it can be used even without framebuffer and looks a lot better then the standard character set :)

I meant, if it is just smaller on screen. The resolution is terrible without fb :P

That's why I need fb :) even when it's slow...
